The majority of the major retailers in Greenfield, Indiana are located north of town off of the I-70 interstate, but there are many Greenfield businesses and specialty shops dotted in and around downtown Greenfield. This makes for a uniquely different Greenfield shopping experience and a great way to enjoy the local flavor.
North of Greenfield, you will find a wide variety of chain stores and groceries, including the Indianapolis-owned Marsh and its competitor, Kroger. You’ll find everything you need, from Radio Shack electronics to Bath and Body Works toiletries, in this corridor lined with strip malls.
A little further north, on Indiana State Road 9, you’ll find the fourth generation, family owned Tuttle Orchards, which has a ‘U Pick’ season where you can pick your own apples, green beans and pumpkins in the fall. On site is the Tuttle’s farm market, where you can buy a cornucopia of locally grown vegetables and fruits as well as frozen items, snacks and candy. Tuttle’s also sells Angus beef from Hancock County farmers. The orchards also have a beautiful greenhouse on site to purchase your annuals and perennials; Tuttle Orchards offer landscaping services as well.

Downtown Greenfield shopping on Main Street is really a treat for anyone who enjoys unique gift items and specialty products. There are three local florists in this area and an old fashioned soda and ice cream shop to stop in while you’re browsing the local shop windows. There is also a ladies consignment shop near the courthouse square that offers many unique items and changes its inventory often to provide a new experience each time you shop there.
If you can’t find what you’re looking for in Greenfield, just west on US 40 is the Washington Square Mall, which offers a wide variety of choices.
